I’m hoping to raise money to benefit Cancer Research & The British Heart Foundation, any donation will help make an impact.

My dad, with my mum have inspired me to embrace the outdoors from when I was young & it's what makes me feel alive to this day. My dad passed away in 2023 from bowel cancer, which wasn't diagnosed until a month prior to him passing; dad was incredible with his zest for life and the outdoors, and his strength of mind was amazing until the end.

When I was about 9 years old my dad took me on a walk up to the summit of Snowdon, following the Watkins Path. We didn't make it to the top due to really poor visibility and we never returned to do it together, so I really want to do this for him and finish the "walk" we started.

Also, a couple of years ago I had a skin cancer removed from my forehead, that thankfully was benign and I have hypertension that medical staff don't know the cause of, so I was also hoping to raise awareness of the importance of getting yourself checked for potentially life threatening medical conditions that are both highly treatable.

So my plan is the ride from Great Orme Point in North Wales, finishing at Rhoose Point in South Wales. Along the way I want to summit both Snowdon & Cadir Idris mountains. My journey will follow the Sarn Helen Trail; described as "The most ambitious off-road ride in Britain with an Everest’s worth of climbing!"

My journey will be in August (15th - 20th) and will be approximately 447 kilometres or 278 miles long with an ascent of 9720 metres or 31,889 feet over the distance. I'm planning on doing it over 6 days, being as self sufficient as possible. I'm going to be doing the ride on a 24" wheel child's mountain bike :)

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and for your contribution if you are able to, for these two causes that means so much to me.
